Nice set-up that you have there. How do you like the sound from the center channel? Can you tell that it's not centered with the TV?

Also, are those pics really from 2005? ;)

Yes, As im sure your aware the center channel placement is eh... less than ideal. You would probably get more realistic sounding dialogue without the center , just using the front speakers. besides that though, very nice :)

Yeah, not taken in 05.. didnt feel like retaking though.. for most movies, i'll pull the center out and place on stand right in front of the tv.... The imaging of the stereo speakers really isnt sufficient to use as virtual center... The dimension and phasing on the amp make the center decent for tv watching and what not... I mostly use the setup for music anyways... I'm just over 477GB of music now!!!
FLAC takes up a lot of space but sounds great...

Nice little set-up there. One thing I would do, if I were you, is move the TV and speakers over to the right where the ottoman thingy is. You could spread out the speakers and get a much better sound stage I'd think. :)

Wow! Looks good. I'd be inclined to put that center channel speaker "in the middle of" the mains (more to the right side of your TV stand). I'd imagine where it's at now puts your dialog more towards the left side of the sound stage. Nice equipment.

Well, the problem is that when i put it there, the remote wont control the TV... its a no win. I just bought some new fronts, new center, new tv, new tv stand to combat the issue... oh, and some surrounds and AVR, stay tuned...:eek:

I sort of expected that might be the case. I had that problem initially with my set as well. That's why ended up using the riser approach.

I'm looking forward to seeing your new stuff.

I am a klipsch fan... I honestly dont think i could do much better for the front stage for movies. I decided to wait on a sub. I had one here, it was way too much for the apt and i kept getting complaints. You can read about it here... I'll put one in the dedicated HT room currently being built in my house. I mean, my house is currently being built and there will be an HT room. I really need to figure out my priorities. Nonetheless, I'm really really really pleased.

Consists of two Klipsch RF7 with the acclaimed DeanG upgrade xovers. keeps them from getting too bright and flattens the response greatly. These have been compared with even Klipsch's own K-horns. They truly are unbelievable. I never knew what sound "looked" like til i fired these babies up. The imaging is stunning. I couldnt be happier and even my prone to excess nature has yet to drive me to want something different.

The center is the flagship RC-64. Holy expletive. This thing gets it done. All there is to it. I never really knew what part a center played in HT or MC audio. I was wrong. I'll never hide the Center again. (see first pictures in this thread).

So there ya go. The new stuff. Cant wait for them to make the move into a more permanent environment. Oh, yeah... they get insane loud... insane.

Looks really nice, great job. What's interesting is how you showed your progression from where you started until the latest update in succession. Very nice touch that I will borrow from you next time I update my HT.
Again, nice rig and congrats.

Looks like your dog is about to let one loose on your carpet. The speakers must be very intimidating.:D
