Beginner audio question

I just set up my first home entertainment system. I bought a Yamaha RX-V864 receiver and I hooked my cd player, satellite box, PS3, Wii, dvd player, and my new HP entertainment desktop computer to the computer. I also set up new Bose speakers to the receiver. My PS3, satellite, and DVD player work fine. But I can't get the audio to work properly on all of my components. There is no audio from the computer, I am using a dvi cable from the computer that converts to HDMI into the receiver (Video works but no audio). On the CD player there is audio but it is very low. It is hooked up to the receiver with an RCA cable. The Wii is also hooked up with RCA cable and the audio is either very low or very high.
If anyone knows what is wrong and how I can fix this, let me know. I can't wait to have everything working properly.

DVI does not transport an audio signal. In order to get audio from the computer, you will [in most cases] need to go from the sound card to your receiver.

As for the Wii/CD player.. it could be a number of things. What exactly do you mean when you say the audio is very high or very low?

Yamaha RX-V864 ???

You mean the 861 or 863?

There is no audio sent through the DVI from the computer. Only video.
