Help me decide on these two receivers

I have an option of getting two sorta entry level receivers and don't know which one is better. I'm not new to the receiver world but it's been awhile since i bought one so i thought i would get your input. These are the two models and price i can them at.
Onkyo SR605 - $360.00
Harman AVR347 - $400.00

They are both used and look like they are in the same shape. I like the HK unit because it looks nicer but that don't really matter. I'm just looking for something that is easy to use and won't be obsolete in a year or two.

Thanks in advance for any input.

The HK has 5.1 pre-outs & 5.1 analog inputs, but the Onkyo does NOT.
The HK has 720p Upscaling, and the Onkyo does NOT.
The HK has 2 HDMI-1.1 inputs, and the Onkyo has 2 HDMI-1.3.
The HK does NOT have TrueHD/DTS-MA, but the Onkyo has TrueHD/DTS-MA.

So if your HD player (like blu-ray since HD DVD is dying rather rapidly:D) has internal decoders (like the upcoming ETA-Spring Panasonic DMP-BD50), then I would get the HK-347, which IMO has better sound clarity/quality and more honest power output than the Onkyo-605.

I found out the H/K is kinda stuck at 720p, like you can't shut it off. It might pass higher resolutions, but I don't believe it will allow anything lower than 720p to pass without scaling.:(

That Yamaha RX-V663 will be a real budget killer.

Yep, this a huge deal IMHO. Not being able to turn off the processing a terrible oversight in this receiver's design.

So, the onkyo can't matrix HDMI audio to 7.1 and the HK can't have it's processing turned off.

I'd vote for the new yamaha too!

A Yamaha would be my first pick followed by HK.
