No problem, I will email you some pictures. Thanks for the panels!
Greg the pictures are looking great and if you don't mind send me a couple pictures when they are hanging. I would like to put them on our website. :) Keep your eyes on the website we have the new Pillar bass trap coming in about 2 weeks. :)

Well, even though the light colored panels matched the cabinets and crown molding, we decided that darker would look better in the living room. An easy disassemble, some darl walnut stain and here we are now. What do you guys think?

They really do. The picture was taken at night with a flash but during the day they are very nice. They are much better looking than the RA panels now.
That is so much better. Those look fantastic!

Ok, I know you guys are sick of hearing about my acoustic panels so I will give it a rest after this one. After the restain of the frames the GIK Elites simply just out class the Ready Acoustic frames and will replace them. The only other thing I may try is a black piano gloss on the GIKs and I am in discussion with Glen about this as I think many people would be open to this option.

I guess Andrew gets to take home the RAs on his next visit to Texas.

With the restain, there really is no contest. They are beautiful in every way. If there was more metal in the room for that look the RA's would fit better but not with that setup now.

Well after speaking with Glenn some more, black piano gloss is an available option at no additional charge. I think I will get a set of them too.

The 244 isn't required do to the way the Elite is made. They use 2'' mineral board that has 2'' air gap behind it (4" frame) so it will effectively work as a 4'' panel. If one wanted to they could easily add 2 more inches of MB but you dont really need to secondary to the design.

Glenn or Andrew, correct me if I am wrong.

I don't think we will be offering the 244's with wood sides on them. We feel as when you start to get to that price range you could go with Tri Trap or the New Pillar Elite http://www.gikacoustics.com/gik_elite_pillar.html we have instead of a panel straddling the corner.
As far as flat mounting on the wall, yes putting the air gap is almost as effective as a solid piece.

If you wanted to do that then I would fill the back with 2" of mineral wool and straddle the corner. I still don't think it would work as well as the 244, but it would work pretty well.

Carolyn said she would way rather have a black piano gloss Pillar with black fabric then the panel I am using in the corner now:eek:
