At that price I'll take two, one for the bow, and one for the stern.

at least it bitstreams DTS-HD MA... even though I've never seen that format on an HD DVD... it's hard enough for them to find enough space for TrueHD, I usually only see DD+

Seriously, I have no life.

If both of those formats are lossless, why is there a need to have two such formats on any disc? Loseless is lossless.

Ask Denon why they're charging $1k for a player with only HDMI out. Ask Denon and Marantz why they're charging $2k for a player with no Ethernet port.

Actually ask Integra why they're charging $1100 for a HD DVD player that is the same as the $800 Onkyo which is the same as the $500 Toshibas that still can't play Blu-Ray discs. :p

No need to have two losless formats on one disc, but DD+ isn't lossless. I'm just saying that I usually see only DD+ on HD DVDs since there isn't enough room for an uncompressed audio track. Although I have seen some blu ray discs with both TrueHD and PCM, and that to me makes no sense.

Correct. DTD-MA is rare so far, but there are a few. Pan's Labrynth is one. In fact, Pan's, one of about 75 HD-DVD's I have, is probably the the best I've seen so far for PQ and SQ. Absolutely outstanding.
(My receiver is a Yamaha RX-V3800 which decodes all the audio codecs. I use an XA2 which can bitstream audio).
