Hummm, no mention of Revel ... interesting. Well I just got what I have wanted for a while now. I have heard B&W's, Dali's, Dynaudios and Wilson's. They are all in the same general loudspeaker class. The new Revel Ultima2's come in right at $16K MSLP. I settled for these these old funny looking things:

Yep, same company. Don Garlits???, wow you must be an old unit.:p
I was joking. It doesn't make sense for them to be the same company, as plastic model kits are totally unrelated to speakers.

The Mongoose vs. The Snake!:D

Oh, $8,000 and $5,000? I'm not too familiar with that price category. It seems like there's too much competition in the sweet spot, between 1-2k. :D

$16k: Klipsch Palladium P-39F
$8k: Klipsch Palladium P-37F
$5k: LaScala II
It really surprises me to see Klipsch as somebody's "dream" speakers. The Klipsch's I have heard, I wouldn't take for free (unless it was to sell them and buy something else.) I find them painfully bright.

I have never auditioned the Klipsch Palladium's, or the LaScala II. But from what I understand they are in a different league as the Reference series.

That's probably true, but I have to somewhat agree with Joe Schmoe. I haven't heard any Klipsch's I've been too fond of.

Definitely true. Miles above, actually. All the heritage line are really terrific. Like first row at the symphony.
