If it doesn't get down into the 30s at least (which these don't) set it to small.

i also have a question about these dipole speakers

should they be set to face towards the inside of the room, or at an gle towards the seating position

That depends on your room and other factors. How far away is the wall from the main seating/listening area? What are the room dimensions? What is the layout? You get the idea...
