Mazer already warned me that I'm not allowed to talk smack when we made it to the playoff. Just figured the "smack ban" might have been lifted now :(

Us Packer fans have the grace to not talk smack...at least not until we're out of the picture. So brace yourselves (pattycakes and lilliputians). :)

Go check out the espn.com board then..... LOTS of sore losers among the Packers fans saying some of the most ridiculous things.

I personally think Packers fans are some of the most respectful and knowledgable fans in the game, and the fact that they had a full house during -24 degree weather is a testament to how great your fans are.

It was a great game- and Favre or not you guys are going to be even better next year.

Your Giants are going to get their butts kicked back to Joisy! And I don't care for the Pats.
Maybe Eli should ask Dan Marino for some pointers on how to win the SuperBowl. O that's right Dan Marino never won a Superbowl. How would he know.

No fur off my back, I never liked Marino, I know people who have dealt with him, he's a jerk with an overblown ego, he's rude and nasty, I bet he cried like a little girl when Favre busted up his record. As for your Giants.......Hehehe:D
"Show me the way to go home, cause I'm tired and........."Hehehe:D

Same thing I was told by a former player that is a friend of mine.
My brother in law's nephew owned a short lived South FL sports magazine, he was able to get an interview with ol' stiff legs, he told me the guy is so full of himself that it was ridiculous. A friend of mine flew in the same plane with him, she told me he treated the flight attendants like dirt, he was even spitting on the floor. I know a couple of ex Dolphins and they're the nicest guys, but Marino, meh, who cares.

The Giant / Packer game.....

Great game.

On Sundays my 78 year old Father-in-law usally comes over for dinner. I’m a half way decent cook, last night was Chicken Florentine. He loved it. Winter is good for cracking open a Cookbook and having at it.

Anyhow, my FIL general doesn’t give a crap about TV, Sports, etc. But you should have seen that man digging the Giant Game last night with the Home Theater system rocking!

He was crazy into the game like I have not seen him ever (25 years) “Wow, some picture… Can you make it louder… feel like I’m there… this is wonderful…” Dad was going up to the TV to point out close plays, he really enjoyed himself.

Me? I put a pretty serious dent in my Jameson bottle last night. Those two missed field goals will do that you know.

Lawrence Julius Taylor (born February 4, 1959), nicknamed L.T., is a retired Hall of Fame American football player. Taylor played his entire professional career as a linebacker for the New York Giants in the National Football League (NFL). He is often considered to be one of the greatest defensive players in the history of football, and has been called the greatest defensive player of all time by media members, former players, and coaches.

After an All-American career at the University of North Carolina (UNC), Taylor was drafted by the Giants with the second overall selection in the 1981 NFL Draft. Although controversy surrounded the selection due to Taylor's contract demands, the two sides quickly resolved their issues and Taylor won several defensive awards after his rookie season. Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Taylor was a disruptive force at outside linebacker, and is widely considered to have changed the pass rushing schemes, offensive line play, and offensive formations used in the NFL. Taylor produced double-digit sacks seasons consecutively from 1984 through 1990, including a career high of 20.5 in 1986. He also won a record three Defensive Player of the Year awards and was named the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP) for his performance in the 1986 season. He was named first-team All-Pro in each of his first nine seasons and was a key member of the Giants' defense, nicknamed "The Big Blue Wrecking Crew", that led New York to Super Bowl XXI and XXV victories. During the 1980s Taylor and fellow linebackers Carl Banks and Hall of Famer Harry Carson gave the Giants linebacking corps a reputation as one of the best in the NFL

On numerous occasions Coaches including the late Bill Walsh were quoted attesting to the way LT changed Pro-Football some 27 years ago.
I don't deny that Taylor was a great linebacker. I just don't see how he SINGLE-HANDEDLY changed how the game of football was played. So no other linebacker EVER put their hand in the dirt before Taylor came along? No other linebacker was ever able to shed blocks and shoot a gap before Taylor came along? Gimme a break.

Then again, my opinion of him is probably tainted, as I will always remember him as a coke-head.

With apologies to Earl Campbell and Gayle SAyers.

Get back to me in 8-10 more years on Tomlinson.
The only people on that list I would put above LT are Payton and Jim Brown.
