1st: BG R-800 Radia In-Walls: http://www.bgcorp.com/productDetail.php?id=58

*Note: I would MUCH rather have the BG R-600 Radia In-Walls http://www.bgcorp.com/productDetail.php?id=59 ($10K MSRP) and add BG's new In-Wall THX-Ultra2 Sub http://blog.stereophile.com/ces2007/010907bgsub/ ($5K MSRP) total $15K MSRP. Then, spend the last $3K on room treatments.

2nd: Canton Vento Reference 7 DC (Gloss Piano Black) http://www.canton.de/en-produktdetail-vento-ventoreference7dc.htm ($7K MSRP)

3rd: RBH 1266 SE (Custom Veneer) http://rbhsound.com/1266se.shtml ($4200)

$16k would be Montana XP

$8k would be Montana EPS

$5k would be the Montana XP which is what I have right now, would use the voucher to buy another set for the rear of the room.

Those are massive... When I get a room with 25 foot ceilings I'll pick up a pair of those.

So Timetohunt...did I miss it? Given your parameters, what is your dream set?

I'll take a try.

1. $16,000: Gamut L7s or Klipsch P-39F Palladiums

Those two would fullfill dream status, otherwise I really don't know about the 8k or 5k catagories. That is largely why I started the thread, just to see what's out there and what people think they would like. I will say that something in the 8k and 5k ranges from Dynaudio has my interest. If I ever do get to buy very expensive speakers its more likely not to be ones in the 16k range unless we gets very lucky.

2. B&W 802D I think these are about $8g.
About $4K lite.
Hmm, that's odd. Here in the U.K. they're numerically around the same price as the above figure of $8k+$4k=$12k. Except that that's ignoring the exchange rate!

...Just need 2K more for my 1st choice speaker...
My first choice is B&W's nautilus...their flagship nautilus. Yes, they're more than $16k, but since it's my winnings I'll do what I want thank you very much, and that is to save the balance to be able to afford them. :)

As an aside, given that B&W's flagship nautilus are much older than the much vaunted 802D's etc, I wonder which actually measures better.
