That is something to ask Gene and Clint. :D I do not do the reviews, though it would be fun.

When they request review samples, they have to state what the review will be. If it is a head to head matchup, many manufacturers are reluctant to join the foray. I am sure Behringer would do it no questions asked, they do not have anything to lose, but much to gain. The high dollar amplifier manufacturers are the ones really rolling the dice. If they are outclassed by a fair margin, they will have a lot of explaining to do. :)

Would it be possible to organize a test here between a high priced seperate power amp and a low cost pro amp ?

I saw the article and I appreciate the fact that it was posted. But I need more. :D

--Regards,
Wmax has already compared it to an Adcom and a McIntosh, what else do you need??? :) Those are both very high quality amplifier manufacturers with excellent products. Chris (Wmax) tests his components to get the objective "skinny" on the situation if you will. He understands amplifier components and design. I for one, am very happy that he is a member of on these boards and willing to offer his time and money for having done much of this for all of us to benefit from.

A question; aren't the amplifiers compared like 20 years old ? Or does that not matter too much. :) I too appreciate Wmax's efforts and I think his contributions are most beneficial.

Yes, special case:D How is its off axis responses, up/down, left/right?
This is a near field monitor system - there for off axis response is not relevant. It has about a 10 degree vertical window and 15 degree horizontal window, where response is pretty much identical; a sufficient range for a near field monitor.

Yes, a very special case indeed. And the plots tell a very nice story:D even transparency. :D
