Adrian -I dont use the HDMI switching and I probably won't use it. I have never done it in the past either. So having the reciever that has the ability to do HDMI switching means very little to me.
Okay, well, limiting yourself from the get go seems a little silly to me but hey, it’s your wallet. But I wonder, how many people are feeling a little screwed over like my friend here when they find out that the HDMI implementation in their receiver is flawed/broken/crap? BTW, I'm advising him to sell it and buy an Onkyo instead.

What means a lot to me is sound quality and system synergy.
Please explain what it is you're saying there exactly.

50wpc on that HK is rated with ALL channels driven which IMO, means more than 2 channels driven with other recievers.
Well, I'd believe the ACD claim if I saw it tested not that it matters at all on real world audio requirements anyway - they do claim only 65wpc on 2 channel for the AVR245 for what its worth - not that the power is my main gripe though. I'm surprised anyone wants these rather technically limited pieces of equipment when there are so many other good options out there.

System synergy means some speakers are better suited with recievers of certain brands. Since each speaker maker has its own signature sound mating it with a reciever that has a signature sound that is complentary would be a good buy.

Am I still on Audioholics or did I just click over to Audio Asylum without realizing it?
