"Image" is everything

For those in the market for tower front speakers for HT or just 2 channel music listening I am here to recommend the PSB Image T55's! I live in a po-dunk town where auditioning speakers is a luxury, ain't happenin'. I did my research online for what was in my $600 budget and came up with, well you know. I knew what I wanted in a speaker by way of having owned a pair of MTX AAL 1030B's whose mid-range was so nasty (with music) at high volumes I couldn't stand it anymore. With the PSB's the mid's are set back right where they belong, in the middle. The treble is perfect and the bass is tight and although not super low, it's low and has some punch. Unlike most people here I haven't heard a lot of speakers and can't tell you what my dream speaker may be but I can't imagine replacing my T55's with anything else. I'm really picky about what I hear coming out of speakers and I'm siked about what's coming out of my new towers!

Congrats on your T55s, I own the T45s and love em as well. May you spend your time in sonic bliss. ;)

The only time I ever care about pictures of speakers is if the speakers in question are very exotic-looking. I really don't see why people bother posting them. Besides, those who want pictures only need the brand/model, as almost all manufacturers have websites with pictures.

Joe I don't think you could be more wrong with that statement IMO. Most manufacturers web-sites with pictures don't even come close to representing the true image of what the speakers finish, or size is.

Here is a perfect example

Is that an SB12-Plus? It's so tiny. How low can they go Mazer? 20Hz?
Again that's the point. You could never tell how "Tiny" it is in the manufacturers photos.

(+/- 3dB 22Hz-150Hz)

Yeah I showed that pic to my wife and she was amazed at how tiny it was. She said I can for sure now get one. She likes the color too. How much better do you think 2 of those would perform in a 12x14 room open on one side?

Sorry if I hijacked your thread OP.
