As soon as I read his post I was thinking the same thing. "You took the words right out of my mouth". :D

Well guys -- I my defense I did note that I am a budget minded video oriented guy and that most folks here are hard core audioholics :). To me the video is the most important part but the audio is a very close second. I guess that's why this forum isn't called "videoholics" ;). One can get a very nice set of speakers for $800 or so from Athena or Klipsch. Sure, they won't be audiophile quality but will serve the average listener very nicely. Y'all may question my only recommending $800 for speakers but I respectfully question the recommendation of a projector with inferior specs and features for $700 less than the street price for the Panasonic model I suggested. And the suggested screen is a rather poor quality vinyl model as well when you can get a 126" 16x9 Carada Precision Series screen for well under $1000 including shipping.

No defense needed. Everyone has their own tastes, and their own thoughts. That's what makes this place so diverse. That's what makes this place "Audioholics". :D

Now if you put surround speakers on the ceiling, or wrap your electronics in paper. Well then you might have a problem here.
