Hi girls and boys:
I am a newbie in terms of Home theathers. A friend of mine got me started. He upgraded his HT and gave me an Onkyo TX-NR801. I then bought the Infinity TSS1200 (5.1) speakers. I just hook them up a couple of days ago, and man, I keep telling myself " I should have done this long time ago".

What do you guys think of my set-up?
Can I post pics in this forum?

I think you need a minimum number of posts before you can post pics but im not sure, maybe a moderator will post on this.

I think you need a minimum of 5 or 10 posts to post links and pictures. Just break up your next post until you have 5.

Did you get silver o black? Did you spend $1200 for this system?

I got the black. I did not spend $1200 for this system. I paid $720 including freight from this site. Is this a good deal?

how big is the room you have it set up in?
It's a fairly large room. It is the living room and dinning room with no division (no walls in between).
The living room is about 15'x 30' aprox, I have my HT in the living room. The dinning room is about 15' x 25'. It is kind of dificult to explain, that is why I wanted to post pics to show my room.

To put everything in perpective, this is my first HT, so anything is a huge upgrade. But I am not sure I am getting the the best set up for my room.
Just wanted to hear your experts' opinion. Just in case, I have money to do some upgrade in the future.

Thank you in advance.

Yeah with a room that size, I don't think the speakers are going to be able to fill the room with sound.

What do you mean? I can hear the rumble of the sub even in my garage. The whole house shakes when I was watching Transformers with my son.

Are you suggesting that I should get bigger speakers?

Thanks

If you like the way the speakers sound in your room then NO you do not need biggers speakers. It is just typicall that larger rooms like yours need larger speakers to fill the room. Also if your sub is by a wall where your garage is then you will hear the sub in the garage. I like your speakers don't get me wrong. I was looking at those myself when I was upgrading. I also have a large room that connects to the kitchen with no walls. My room is like 16'x30' with valted(18') ceilings.
