My brother-in-law is happy with his A/V setup, so I got him some sweet KRK powered studio monitors and sub for his home recording studio. Its just a basement, an maxed out Mac Mini running Garage Band and his killer guitars.

I'm also giving a friend a pair of Polk monitor 30's and a Emotiva BPA-1 amp for his computer. He's more than a friend, I'm a quadriplegic, and he is the worlds greatest care giver, and he deserves it

If I succeed to sell my current setup, I'll be able to get myself some RC-70s from Energy Christmas came home early about 2 weeks ago when I bought an RX-V1800 though

A pair of MA BR4s for my best friend (a pro musician) and his expecting wife (pediatrician). A pair of MA BR2s for another great friend, an artist. I am rarely or never this generous, but I had a good year, and actually finally know something about such gifts that they can really use and would probably never consider about buying for themselves. (I never know what to buy people. Its almost a blessing to finally know about something they can use). The recipients probably listen to more recorded music than anyone else I know. The family had these 30 y.o. no-name POS's that are not even theirs, and the artist had a crappy boombox that happened to be a downgrade from a different crappy boombox.

I won't go into reasons why, but they all are well-deserving. Let's just say they are generous with their support, and help to keep my mind open, educated, and nourished. And, heck, the samovar I got from Russia for the couple's wedding doesn't work!

Oh yes, and an Xbox for my brother, if only because he is a great cook and has the best stocked bar I may have ever seen . Im pretty much done with shopping outside of giving a few calendars out that the artist friend had made for the coming year.

I do not expect to buy such nice gifts for a long while now... so don't ask!
