Hi guys,
I tried connecting my PC to my system. It works great on battery but hums like crazy when I plug in the AC adapter. Any ideas guys?

Thanks,

Sounds like a ground loop to me. I'm no expert on those, but if you search the forums for that, you should find some good info on how to isolate it.

EDIT - Ahhh, I see that you already posted in the ground loop sticky!

Is your system connected to cable/sat TV in any manner, directly or indirectly, even if it goes to the TV first and you are connected to the TV by the system? If so, disconnect the TV cable totally from the wall and see what happens. If the hum goes away, there are cable TV isolators for about $10. Let us know and will give you a link.
If it is still there, you need some other way to get rid of that ground loop.

the hum is gone

Well guys, I used a 3 to 2- prong adapter to eliminate the ground and syre enough, no more hum. Soooo, all I need to do now is run a seperate ground wire! Easier said than done of course but thanks alot for the solution.

If you're talking about running a ground wire from the outlet to the service panel, that should by performed by a qualified electrician and per NEC code. Cheers.
