Well I just received my Terence Boylan CD titled Boylan, well this looks like a winner with the incredible roster of hotshot studio players on the roster: Jim Gordon, Chuck Rainey, Donald Fagen, Dean Parks, Victor Feldman, Timothy B. Scmidt, David Paich, Michael Porcaro, Don Henley, Jeff Porcaro, Steve Lukather, Michael Omartian and others, this reads like a list of who's who of the LA recording scene in the late 70s. I barely sampled some of the music and I can tell from track 1 "Hey Papa" that this is a solid production. I have to sit and patiently go over this CD track by track. This CD is not one to be listened to casually, Terence Boylan is crafting stories in the vein of the good story tellers (Fagen, Buffet, J. Taylor, Stevens), this requires a sit down session with some port, a dark room, my Krells and my Proceed. This sounds like it might make my top 5 list of fave CDs. I'll post after serious listening.
Thanks to Hawkeye for the recommendation, good stuff.
