I think I may get the MPS-2 with just 3 amp modules , that way I can expand as I go and not have any extra pieces of equipment to find a place for.

Nah...I think Warp has more money than all of us:D
HAHAHHA Took me a long time to get to this point...

And guess what... It might have something to do with my life chioces, meaning that I chose to never get married, and thats probably why I get to spend my money on stuff like this....

Hey Greg, how can you say I have more money then you, and you have a $40K bike... My buddy has a Slammer... nice bike, but not for the long haul, thats for sure... :)

Either model looks pretty sweet next to the cheap looking plastic crap on the market these days. Emotiva rocks! :D

how much is the emotiva amp with only 3 amp modules?

I think it's $300 for the chassis, and $200 per amp module, so that would be $900 for the amp with just 3 modules.

95 lbs or are you talking about the bike?
Talking about the amp chassis with only the 3 amp modules in it. it's 115 fully loaded, but minus 4 of the modules how much does it weigh?

I actually like the MPS-2 with the extra vents on the side. Any extra venting on a 7-channel amp is always a good thing.

Amp with 3 modules = 95lbs

Bike without rider = 600lbs.

More ventilation is always good but my MPS1 has never been more than slightly warm even when pushing it for hours. The fans have never came on and it is almost cold at mod. volumes.

wow, that is one heavy amp. I'll have to rearrange my rack so the amp sits on top, since it's actually a tv stand and the top shelf is rated for a lot of weight whereas the shelves are only rated for 40 lbs.

Just got an email back from Emotiva, and per management decision, the MPS-1 and 2 are currently only being sold in full 7 channel configuration. However I was told that a 5 channel amp will be available at the end of the year.

I had a feeling they would do that at some point. Call and talk to Lonnie and see what he can do for you.
