Alrighty, here is my setup... I'm waiting on the launch pads for my LS's so thats why the socks are in the first picture...just protecting the bottom of the speaker. X-SLS tower front mains, X-LS surrounds, SVS PB-10 and X-CS soon to be above TV...Need to build stand. Also using a Onkyo 605 to power my precious. I am very happy with my setup. Sounds and looks beautiful!

Nice looking set-up, Derrleak! "...my precious." Hee, hee.

How do the rears sound? I would have thought that you'd point them towards the couch, or keep them angled like that but move them further back. Just curious. Thanks.

They sound fine. I havn't moved them like I need to. They were just like that for the picture. I'm all new to this so I havn't really figured out a good place on positioning everything...Its hard to really turn it up and listen to what sounds best. I got in trouble from my neighbors the first day from vibrating the neighbors recliner...SVS is nice :) It is CRYING to be turned up.

It looks great. Glad to hear you like them :). I would try moving the speakers back a few feet so they are sitting behind you and see if you like that more. It might give a more engulfing sound.

How do you like the SLS towers?

I originally ordered the MTM's from AV123 but decided I really didn't need them and I was def right. The SLS are very nice. I don't have spikes installed, or mass loaded. I may put the spikes on just for kicks, but I probably wont mass load them. I am happy with how it all sounds. With the bass from the SVS and what comes from the towers and bookshelves, it all is a nice deep rumble. Very satisfied with my purchase. I wanted to set my budget to like 1k...but I spent 2k+ haha

Hmmm. I think that you need to convince them that you're actually providing a service. See, you're turning their ordinary recliner into a massage chair. People pay thousands of dollars for those, yet as a good neighbor you are willing to provide that extra feature for free. Well, maybe for a beer or two.

That way - next time that they have a hard day at work, they'll swing by with a six-pack and ask you nicely if you'd be willing to watch the Matrix. :)

Haha, yeah. He seemed kinda like an angry older person. I don't think he appreciates good sound. If I was him I would have came downstairs and ask what it was and then drooled over the persons setup haha

Haha, nice! av123.com is where I got the speakers...The front mains are the X-sls towers, the rears are x-ls bookshelves. I dont have the center hooked up yet, but I got the x-cs. The subwoofer is an SVS, the PB-10. They are beautiful. The build quality is awesome. My entire apartment smelled like wood for a few days because of how fresh these things were! After the receiver, speaker wire, plugs, speakers and the sub...I spent over 2k...more then I had planned. I really should have gone with a 2 channel setup because I'm in an apartment...I did not need a 5.1 home theater system that can rumble my entire apartment and those around me >_>

Very nice. Seems like it is crammed into a small space in those pics, but a nice stuff for sure.

Yeah, I probably should spread my furniture out a little more. It is a lot of stuff. It probably also looks like that because I lack wall decor...so it looks like everything is pushed into a corner, lol.

Crammed into a small place nothing; wait until he gets his 80'' tv vs. that 20 incher;)

Nice set up; move the surround back and enjoy!

Haha...your the second one to call it a 20" I am not sure if you are being sarcastic or totally honest. That TV is actually 40"... I also plan on going HD projector next visual display upgrade ;) With a totally different room though of course. That will be a ways down the road.

I was being a little sarcastic but it looks smaller in the picture. I would have guessed it to be smaller.

Thanks for the feedback. I put my x-cs under my TV due to its massive size for a temporary solution until I build a stand to put it behind the TV. It brings the TV up above my towers though and it does not look half bad. I'm thinking I may keep it like that because it gives everything a little more "breathing room" or at least thats what it looks like. I brought my couches out a bit more and gave the subwoofer a bit more space so it does not look as crammed and got rid of that speaker wire running across the floor. Still not sure if thats the greatest place for the sub, but no biggie. Thanks again!
