I'd be happy to take one of those 200x3 amps off your hands :D
I bet you would:)
But C'mon. Don't you really want a 300 wpc amp?

You know I heard that in the February 1995 issue of Audio Magazine, they actually measured the output of the Acurus 200X3 to be 315 watts RMS @ 8 ohms and 515 watts RMS @ 4 ohms!
I wonder if anyone has that issue? I would love to read that article.

But why would any company say that their amp is rated at 200 wpc, when it is actually 315 wpc measured?

...that does not disprove biamping potential. With your setup, it may be entirely true that there is no audible difference. But it may, and I submit that it does in fact exist with other systems. The other variable is the huge variance of audible discernibility we each possess...or lack.
Well, since I'm using a total of FOUR 200X3 amps, bi-amping my Front L+R, and tri-amping my Center, of course I hear a difference!
It's these other non-audioholics around me that don't know anything:)
See what I have to put up with?

They looked at the back of my speakers and said, "Why the heck are there so many wires coming out of your speakers? Is that for real? What's the reason?"

So I said, "Well, they significantly improve headroom, clarity, imaging, and detail! There is a separate amp for the high frequency, the mid-range frequency, and the low frequency."

They said, "well, we don't hear any differences."

I said, "First, my system is so good that you won't be able to distinguish unless you know what to listen for. Your hears aren't trained."

They said, "You are so full of it."

I said, "Thank you.":)

I just connected 26 wires to my speakers so my system is way better than yours...:p

LOL...
You are killing me!:)

You just wait until one of these days when I can have seven BP7000SCs and bi-amp all of them for a total of 28 wires (each speaker has 2 speaker wires, 1 LFE cable, and 1 power cord)!!!

Then my speakers will sound better than yours again!:)

Of course I do.
By the way, I'm set for Discrete 7.1 HT now that I just bought another Acurus RL-11:)

But that's it. No more gears for a while. I have just totally bankrupted my HT Piggy Bank:(

How do you connect all those preamps to your amps?

lol, I knew that... it's my friend too. what I meant was I don't understand how you can have multiple preamps all hooked up to the same system? I've always just used a receiver for everything.

Wait, he has more than one preamp?

Yeah, that's why I have so many Monoprice cables:)
First RL-11 preamp is for the Front L/R.
I connect the Blu-ray Fr L/R to Tape1 L/R, & HDDVD Fr L/R to Tape2 L/R.
I connect the L/R Output1 to the First 200X3 L/R input.
I connect the L/R Output2 to the Second 200X3 L/R input (bi-amp).

Second RL-11 is for the Center & LFE.
I connect the BD Cent/LFE to Tape1 L/R & HDDVD Cent/LFE to Tape2 L/R.
I connect the L Output1 to the Second 200X3 Cent Input.
I connect the L Output2 (Y-Splitter) to the Third & Fourth 200x3 Cent Inputs(tri-amp).
I connect the R Output1 to the Left BP7000SC LFE Input & R Output2 to the Right BP7000SC LFE Input.

Third RL-11 is for the Surround L/R.
I connect the BD Sur L/R to Tape1 L/R & HDDVD Sur L/R to Tape2 L/R.
The L/R Output1 connects to the Third 200X3 L/R Inputs.

Fourth RL-11 is for Back Sur L/R.
I connect the BD Back Sur L/R to Tape1 L/R Inputs.
The L/R Output1 connects to the Fourth 200X3 L/R Inputs.

Did I miss anything?:D

Eh, I just can't understand why he steals it all, he is just bad.:D
Geez, by the time I finished explaining everying, you guys have already posted 4 new ones!

Yeah, I have 4 RL-11 Preamps and 4 200X3 Amps. I think each RL-11 is like 15 lbs and each 200X3 is like 40lbs = 220 lbs.

So I sold my little brother the HK AVR-247. He came over a few days ago and said, "So where's your new receiver?"

I said, "These eight black boxes here weighing a total of 220 lbs is my receiver."

He was 100% confused.
