I used to have an '87 Sup', fun car, supramania and supraforums were a big help though as it was a fun enough car that I was always breakin' it. Unlike the MKII's, the MKIII's are heavy so they don't like to go sideways......not that they won't, or that I cared...

Geez, just another thread to make me feel inadequate...first the wimpy sound system, and now the car.

'02 Mazda Protege LX
All stock - (but I did get a 6 disc changer!)

...which was rear ended at 3 months new by a 16 year old doing 45. After $10K of work to rebuild the back 3rd, the mileage went up and it's been smooth sailing since!
The fool was watching the police activity on the perpendicular street at the light and hit me at a red light. Went through the entire intersection and the cops saw the entire collision. That intersection still gives me the willies...

My wife got the Highlander after we unloaded her Piece o' sh...I mean Passat!

Ahhh, reminds me of when I stopped at an intersection for an ambulance...and the guy behind me didn't. He bounced off me and hit the truck next to me, too. Didn't push me through the intersection, though! Crush my rear end, though.

I'm still driving that car (after having it fixed, of course). 1998 Honda Prelude. Fantastically reliable car so far. Twice in a row, I've gone 20k miles between oil changes. 15k miles the time before that. Did I mention that I'm a procrastinator? Thing still goes strong.

The Mrs. has a 2004 BMW x3, I have a 2004.5 volvo s40 and my boys share a 2002 Taurus. When we are done paying college tuition - we are treating ourselves to a Lexus GS 350 of course it will be the Mrs.

2007 Acura RDX

Just bought a 2007 Acura RDX with the Tech Package a few months back. I test drove it just to hear the DVD-Audio ELS 5.1 surround audio system. I was so happy with the feel and pickup of this car, the cool navigation and audio system that I bought it, not to mention the great trade in price I was given for my 2002 Grand Prix. I would like to show some pictures, but I guess I have exceeded my quota of uploaded images.

So what does it run in the quarter? I used to be into cars when I was younger and the best my Z-28 could do was 13.50.
Best 1/4 so far is 9.42 @ 145.02 mph. I ran a 5.97 @ 117.89 in the 1/8 mile. Hoping to run 8.99 when the weather cools off. I'm an old dude myself. I'll turn 60 in December.

What's done to that mustang? Seems all the local stangs are owned by idiots that do 1 tire fires everywhere. Not to mention the local import scene stomps them at the track (Street legal class).

I drive this 2000 Mustang GT. It has a few mods. ;)
That is one nice, straight wheels up launch. That takes a lot of work. Congrats on the sweet ride.

What's the combo you're running? I know, too many mods to list, but I'd really like to hear about the basic engine/tranny combo.

I'm running a Modular Powerhouse stroked 4.6 liter 2 valve with forged internals, race ported heads and cams, Kenne Bell 2.8 twin screw supercharger, Performance Automatic C4 transmission, lots of suspension mods, full 10 point cage, custom fuel system with trunk mounted fuel cell, 16 volt twin trunk mounted batteries, 33 spine Moser axles and spool, lots of weight reduction, etc.

So it's the full package. Right on.

Do you keep it licensed for the street? It looks legal, if you put the headlight back on. Maybe a little tough with the spool though, but you'd rule the street.

I can't get over how straight that launch is. That must have taken plenty of runs and tons of suspension tuning. No doubt in my mind you know what you're doing.

Edit - Sweet!!!! Right on the home page.

Thanks. It was my daily driver until last summer when my wife finally let me buy a Tahoe. I drove it all over the country to Fun Ford Weekend events. It's not really street legal anymore and it has a parachute hanging off the back. :D
