That is totally worth a Chicklet.
When I was growing up, I read the heck out of Stereo Review, Audio, Stereophile, etc.
As the technology progressed, I was very, very excited. Unfortunately I didn't have the kind of job that allowed me to purchase these items, much less collect them!
During the past several years, I bought my first Rotel amp (and sold it after about 2 years), and had the opportunity to hear speakers from around the world, meet a few in the industry from companies like Bose (off topic, no flames please), and I met Michael Green, the maker of Roomtunes and acoustic treatments for home audio (anyone remember him?)
When I started buying, I thought I'd get a pair of speakers, a good receiver for home theater, some small surrounds, etc. Turns out, in my closet right now, I have the following:
Bose 501 series 1,
Bose 501 series 5,
Bose 201 series 2
Bose 201 series 3 (2pair)
Optimus center channel
Sony Dream System (5 disc DVD changer w/satellites and subwoofer)
Wharfedale bookshelf speakers
Bose AM-5
Mitsubishi S-VHS
Mitsubishi Hi-Fi VHS
JVC Hi-Fi VHS
JVC DVD Player
Harman Kardon DVD-22 player
Polk RT400 speakers
Polk Monitor 5 speakers
Bose 4001 speakers (yeah, I was on a Bose kick for a while)
B.I.C. Venturi V604 BiPolar speakers
JVC 12" powered Subwoofer
Small Computer subwoofer
Portable DVD Player w/ FM transmitter and car adapter for auto-movies
Maybe some more stuff, but as you can see, the bug has me smitten, and very hard! An addiction? Perhaps, but it is great fun! I've never listed all the stuff like this before, wow. I guess I could sell some of the stuff, but then I wouldn't have them anymore!
Edit: The stuff I have hooked up now is listed in my signature. I bought 5 rows of theater seating from a theater in North Carolina about 6 months ago, and am looking for a projector to complete a true home theater. Where I live now, though, there is not enough room to install the theater seating, so I hope to have an adequate room to place them in at the next house I live in! -Yes, it is an addiction!
