He was hunkered down in his complex and wouldn't come out. It didn't take to many days of 24/7 loud rock music to get him to come out.

It turned out to be Scottish independence day and the finale was a parade in Central Park with 10,000 people playing bagpipes (counted by the NY Times) and Sean Connery at the head of the parade. Just wave after wave of pipers playing Scotland the Brave. I didn't think there were 10,000 pipers in the entire world, much less one park.
