How do you have everything connected?

If you are trying to run sound from the TV to the speakers in your home theater you need to run a cable from your televisions audio output to an input on your receiver.

Some tvs will only run audio out to the stereo or ht system by manually switching external speakers to the on position from the set up menu.

Try running the interconnects from the tv to an input that you get sound from right now like a cd input that you can hear sound from,if you get no sound through a proven active input then you know the tv is hooked up to the system using the wrong output or that there is a problem like switching external to the on position.

Don't use AUX. Use "DIGITAL AUDIO IN". You need a toslink(optical) cable. Run Optical audio out from the tv(may say digital) to the receiver. You then need to select an audio output in the tv menu.

I have a cable box(DVR). I run "DIGITAL AUDIO OUT" from the box to my receivers DVR digital audio input. Nothing(audio) is sent to my tv, and nothing audio is sent from my tv. It all depends on what you have, and how you wish to use it. With my set-up, the tv speakers are never used.

I am assuming you are wanting to use digital audio for 5.1. The AUX connection is 2ch stereo(L&R) only.

Component cables do not carry any AUDIO (video only). If you are trying to play sound thru your external AVR FROM your SAMSUNG TV internal Tuner, you need to run a audio cable from the Samsung TV to the AVR input (audio cable such as Tosling / optical OR RCA ((red & White plugs)) ). Be careful that you are using a Audio OUTPUT and not a Audio Input on the back of the Samsung.

If you are trying to just get the sound on your internal speakers of the Samsung while using your Samsung TV internal TUner you need to go to the Samsung setup screen and make sure that you have the internal audio set to on.

I have a Samsung LCD and I have to do the above to get Audio as needed.

Hope this helps you.

It's a Samsung stereo, not tv. I posted the back panel on my previous post. Please look, and correct your response.
