I am helping a co worker... number one we want the cost to stay down on this and also the easy of use to be high.
What she would like is a flat screan(she used the term LCD but when asked directly didn't know there was a different kind other than LCD) about 36 inches. Wide screan is something she is interested in also. It has to be able to have a dvd and VHS connection for it and the ability to hook up the super nintendo and PS2. She loves mario cart I think
I know NOTHING about displays. I mean nothing. I have and always will be a fan of projectors. I do understand however it's not for everyone, and in the past when looking at displays I have been fond of DLP, not that I knwo what it means, but to me the picture looked.... sharper/better/brighter/contrasted right... I don't know why it's just what I liked, even over the plasma's I have seen in most situations.
SO you guys are the best.. so Here I am. we want to keep the cost low and the ease of use high. She will be getting a new DVD & VHS player sometime soon.. and also... she would like to be able to hook up a camcorder.. I would think then it best to have front access for the red white yellow cables for a/v just for ease of access.
What should she look out for any brands to stay away from and tech she should know about? No need to go high high def. I don't think she will ever have high def or care.
