PC-Ultra: Just looking for some reassurance...

When my wife woke Sunday morning she discovered that I had wires running everywhere and the Servo in the back of my room vs. the front where it normally lives. I have never messed around with placement as it sound awesome in the first place I put it. The only thing she said was "I like it up front if you want one in back, go buy another one". I am really trying to restrain myself...

Bump for any coments on the PC-ultra vs. the plus 2 question. Anyone have an ultra in the house yet?

Especially since the news that The Prices of the JL Audio F113 and Gotham are going up as well... Which I think is rediculus... They are talking like $11K for the Gotham... Please

Try giving them a call and asking them to play it for you over the phone! then record it and pre release the first "taping" of an ultra!

Just got an email back from SVS, asking about Pre-Ordering Dual Ultra13's, and he told me that they are going to be doing some Photography this upcoming week, so maybe a couple of weeks we'll have pics...

Hehehhe ya know, I didn't even think about that...
I'll probably put the Plus in my bedroom like I originally intended, and then drop the Plus'/2 down to the basement system...

Or both down there.... That will deffinately be a nice place to hang out when its super hot out.. stays nice and chilly there...

Excellent. I'm getting the cylinder, and I don't expect the pictures of a tube to look much different. However, I really want to see pictures of an actual amp, which I believe is identical for the box and cylinder.

The Plus would be $400 less, weigh 20 pounds less, get to me much faster, and the frequency response looks darn good on it.

SVS has one 16-46 b-stock left (after I took the other ), which is $900 shipped, saving you $500 relative to the shipped Ultra. Nice deal! Also, I don't know how you all are waiting until July for the new Ultra... my 16-46 shipped today and the wait is killing me!

Thanks for the info! Yeah, that 16-46 is tempting. Looks like a fantastic unit. You'll have to let us know what you think once you get it set up. I think that I'm more calm because I already knew that it would be months, whereas you know it's on its way...but won't come on the weekend. Oh, the agony. I've been there.

I'll probably be starting a thread tomorrow that will be asking if I should even get a new sub. I just got a test tone CD yesterday (my first one ever), and my sub seems to be doing much better than I thought. More to come once I get the measurements charted for people to see.

I noticed this picture up on svs... It looks different than the original pictures that I have seen. Could that be the new pictures? Though they don't look the same, I like the mock-up pictures more (more rounded edges)... Anyone have any thoughts?

That new picture looks like another mockup....

Also, I don't think that they are giving a clear perspective of the depth of the new ultra.
Comparing dimensions
Ultra 27 D X 20.5 W X 22 H without grill which will be at least 1" deep?
Plus/2 28 D X 19 W X 26.5 H

So Ultra is same depth by almost same width but 3.5" shorter

So by my count, the Ultra should look almost the same size (long) which is not the way these pictures look at all, they look like a square to me...
