HD DVD Player that I can connect my IPOD?

Is there a HD DVD Player (Up-conversion) that will do this? I've looked at the OPPO DV-970HD but it doesn't specifically state that you can plug your IPOD into the USB Port. The only one that I can find is the I-O Data Avel Linkplayer2. Any ideas on any cheaper ones to purchase for my HD LCD? Thanks.

Not sure I understand what could be accomplished by connecting an iPod to a DVD player.

NOTE: HD-DVD is a media format, not an upconversion. Oppo doesn't make HD-DVD players, but they make upconverting players for standard DVD.;)

I was just wondering if it was possible with an "up-conversion" DVD Player seeing my LCD has a USB but does not recognize the IPOD for say: listening to the IPOD in lieu of watching a movie or tv.

Any ideas as to what a decent "up-conversion" DVD Player is for the $$? Thanks.

You will have to explain this better. If I understand correctly you want to use your iPod as an audio/video source for your television. You can use a computer with an appropriate video card. Other than that, I don't know of anything else. I am pretty sure the Oppo does not do what you are trying to do.

Yes you are correct, that is all I wanted to do with it. I am in the maret for an Up-conversion Player though, any ideas?

Thanks.

If one device has a USB port and another has a USB connector it doesn't necessarily mean you can plug them together and have them work. USB defines a physical interface and a serial communication protocol - if the connected device is sending data that the other device doesn't understand, nothing is going to happen.

There are no dvd players with USB ports to which an iPod could be connected. You would connect the iPod to a receiver.
