Hey guys, my first post is supposed to have ten pictures in it. I only see seven. Is it just me, or is it like that for everyone?

Uh, the capacity is seven. When you did you post the pictures?

Price, looks, overall good reviews, uhhm, yea idk. Price, really. There aren't a ton of sub $200 turntables that don't look like the first ones ever made [in a bad way]. But maybe I didn't look hard enough. I can tell you, though, my dad has an old, fairly nice Technics turntable, and this one sounds better. I think its biggest flaw for it's price range is the length of the tonearm. It's "too short". You can decide how big of a deal that. is ;p Oh, it also doesn't auto-reject, and you have drop it manually; there's not a vertical control lever. "DJ features" I guess.

ps: I do scratch for fun, I didn't buy it totally for audiophile purposes.

pss: sorry, long post for a simple question

That's the main reason I asked, I was thinking "hmm maybe he's a DJ?" haha

As with all DJ turntables the tone arm is manual, Which may or may not be a important to you. B&O made the coolest turntables for listening IMO, with linear tonearms that read like a laser. They have them on ebay all the time.

I've personally been wanting a pair of decks & a mixer for ages... good choice on the Stanton, they are the best you can get for the price (I've seen them for $100 at Guitar Center). I agree that most, especially Technics are way too expensive.
