When using the search, the ad renders on top of the search results when using Safari (see attached)
Same problem with IE6... in fact my browser stopped responding for a while... but none the less the E advert stuck on top of the search results.

The live search results take alot of power or bandwidth.... my browser "sticks" for a few seconds when I type in a letter.

Full Audioholic
a bug of sorts (or just a missing hyperlink)

On almost all reviews I can remember when y'all have a (for example) www.audioholics.com called out you have it as a live hyperlink. In one of the most recent reviews, the Planar projector, under the conclusion section the company contact information is listed and the "www" is not hyperlinked. see below:

Planar Systems, Inc.
1195 NW Compton Dr.
Beaverton, OR 97006-1992, USA
www.planar.com

Not sure if this really is a bug but it certainly could be an improvement.

Just my2¢

Its hard to tell whos got the bugs so far because from what I can tell half of the ones listed seem to be the users computer at fault vs the website itself.

This isn't a bug, but is strange nonetheless. When hovering over the headings on the javascript menu ("home", "discussion forums", "pro reviews", etc) all of the text stays white, with a blue background with the exception of "Home". Home looks to be some other color, not white, not blue, almost as if its supposed to be white, but there's some sort of transparency inadvertently set. Maybe it's what was intended, but it's kinda hard to read.

Again, may be entirely intended, but google ads seem to be rotating into your banner area. The Denon/DVIGear banners aren't the same size as the google one, leaving an odd gray area when it loads.

When an ad loads on the right, it renders on top of the javascript menu (see image)

Admin: 1 bug counted (I'll give it to you, but this is a known Flash issue and we moved things around so that users with 1024x768 or higher resolution don't encounter it)

  1. While scrolling over the menu's such as those pictured in the above post, using IE when i move the mouse down to select something the menu disappears 90% of the time.

  1. Another one is that in the emotiva MPS-1 7 channel amp review the words "high speed" in the desciption are linked to the same page your currently viewing.

200 watt power modules feature independent 350VA, low noise toroid power transformers w/ high speed rectifiers and 48,000uF of storage per channel for a 336,000uF total, across seven independent channels

    On this page:http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/amplifiers/emotiva-mps-1

  1. Another page with unnecesary links that link only to the page your viewing exist on this page also under the words "listen to music" and "dolby digital" in the second paragraph.

Resizing the window resizes the content which is very cool, but seems to lead to some boundary collision problems. In the attached, "Let our rigorous testing and reviews...not marketing slogans" overruns the neighboring ad.

Can I get credit for each link that doesn't work because under the Forum topic "Need Basic Advice" none of the links work.::

On the parasound halo A21 review page below when you mouse over the menu's the lower drop down menu to select which portion of the review you want to read appears over the main menu selection when using IE 6

I think that's a problem with IE. It insists on rendering user controls on top of everything else...have the same problem when developing in .NET.

Again, more under usability or "not a bug" category, but the tooltips can obscure major portions of the menu. May want to increase the offset of the tooltips so the menu is still visible:

I dont know what to say, I'd really like to have this player but i cant find much in the way of bugs on the site. So instead i'll be the first to say that the developer has done a great job. That counts right? :)

I second that. He really has done a nice job.

Most of the things i see are really *really* nitpicky personal type preferences. Like when i type something in the search box and the livesearch matches come up, and i click on a matching story...it takes me to the story and nicely highlights in yellow all the matching words from my search, but it clears the search box on me. I'd prefer it kept the term i searched for in the box in case i wanted to go back to it, that way i wouldn't have to type it in again, in the event the story i clicked on wasn't what i wanted.

Edit: I also seem to have isolated the menu layering problem to the Emotiva ads. The menu renders on top correctly for all the other ads that load. Are the Emotiva ads Flash?

Index needed for reference.

The previous format was easier to access information as topics or equipment.

An index of equipment and of topics would greatly enhance this site and would be used more frequently.

A forum of audio tweaks would be novel.

What version of IE are you using? Also what Service Pack? I see this issue when I use IE 6.0 with SP1 but not with SP2.

Are you behind a company firewall and using IE? If so, try using Firefox or try from another computer with no firewall. thanks.
