Upgrading The Crossovers in My Polk Monitor 10B's

Turns out my speakers are original 10s. I found a fairly new pair of the new crossover design and replaced them with very good results. The highs are brighter and the mid range harshness is gone. I did about one hour comparison L/R in mono with various musical styles. I will hold off the cap upgrades for know as my 56 year old ears may not notice the improvement.

Can you believe that after 10+ years, the parts cost on this project would now be more than 2x? Film caps (in particular) have gone way up in cost! The good news is: my 40+ year old speakers (with the XO rebuilds) are still going strong.

Specific prices for what, tho? Varies. Some have still lowered due to various efficiencies, some not so much. Inflation is generally a continual upward spiral with our economics, tho.
