I understand what folks are saying about people being anti-science, religious, etc., but it still doesn't explain why they would trust all these other things (antibiotics, antivirals, etc.) that result from science and not vaccines. I just don't get it.

Well, it's pretty simple now days. It seems they've been convinced that the covid shots caused more morbidity and mortality than covid itself. Thus, it's put them in inordinate fear of all vaccines. They actually believe that any time a young athlete collapses and dies, which has been occasionally occurring forever, that it is because the athlete took the "jab" and not because of undiagnosed HCM or some other congenital heart condition.

I’ve wondered about that. As far as I can tell it seems to have something to do with a fear or distrust of injecting something directly into one’s body.

I don’t understand the thinking though, so that’s just a guess.

Well, they don't seem to have much problem with antibiotic shots, so it seems to pertain specifically to vaccines. I suspect one possible reason is the belief that the mRNA shots are changing their DNA. I don't know enough to say whether they do or not.

Sadly the answer most of the time is that they are very, very stupid people.

Would you imagine if a mRNA shot did modify someone's DNA? That would really be attractive to a serial killer if his new DNA didn't show in an older criminal DNA listing.

Or, they would become X men, shape shifter, etc. :D

Gain-of-function. Plus was the virus released accidentally or intentionally?
There has been so much talk about "gain of function", as it pertains to Covid-19, but little about what that means.
Regardless, I don't think any credible evidence of wrong-doing on the part of Fauci has ever been presented.

It means you try to modify a virus, to make it nastier than it already is. Of course this can happen in nature as well, but it is not an evolutionary advantage if kills too many hosts. So in nature the tendency is to less, not increased virulence over time on the whole. This combined with people exposed leads to curtailment of the pandemic, as happened with Covid and the 1918 influenza pandemic.

Why would they try to modify a virus only to make it worse? I'd think they want to make it less potent? Also, I'm weary of the "herd immunity" phrase since there were people initially saying that. Was anyone really gonna infect more people first to reduce the virus? Doesn't seem to be in the govts interest to kill more people first.
