So there are states with widespread crime, not hard to believe. Look at the white house if you want high criminal activity that's allowed.

And yet, it doesn't have bodies on the floor or apparent drug use. I think it's time that you remove your blinders and look at the country as a whole, rather than one person or place.

Did you see what happened in Chicago over the weekend? Last numbers I saw were: 58 shot, 8 dead. Over the July 4th weekend, 45 shot, 4 killed. Last year, 109 people were shot and 19 were killed over the Wed-Sun period of the July 4th week. "But they have strict gun control!"- I guess it's not working.

Ideally, they would be able to handle the crime on their own, but if they decreased the budget for Police because of pressure from ANTIFA/BLM and protests, they need to look at the problem and decide if they really want people to be and feel safe.

If I thought they would be safe, I would be OK if civilians made their presence widly known in high crime areas, but if people don't stop doing stupid things when the police are in the immediate area on other calls, why would they stop for civilians? I'll address the last comment first- what nazi population? You can't be referring to local government because MKE hasn't had a Republican Mayor since 1916-1918 and the current Mayor can't really claim to be the reason for any drop in homicide- it peaked during COVID, as it did in many places. Now, the young'uns are staging street takeovers, so that's super great-

I was thinking of Coke, Crack, Meth and other street drugs, but hadn't heard about what was happening with prescription drugs.

Since all cities realistically have crime, what you'd have to do is look at statistics and conclude crime is higher than the baseline to justify federal intervention. Trump doesn't strike me as someone who reads much so it looks to me like he's just going into blue cities. Hypothetically if he were looking at the data and by chance a red city were high in crime well than he'd have to send troops there too. I can't really see anyone on the right being interested in that, so this is why I believe this is fascism.

What you will do is say that oh you're not for federal intervention while saying Milwaukee hasn't had a Republican mayor since the early 1900s. That's how I know you're for federal intervention, but it's the type of thing that is inconvenient to say out loud.

Yeah, you also think I want the military to come here. I want the state and city to fund the PD properly, but the way the population is treating the officers, the department is having a really hard time recruiting.

Trump isn't going to say nice things about blue states or cities- why would you expect him to do that?

However, MKE now has street takeovers and when 200 idiots are f&cking around in one area at the same time others are doing the same in five other places simultaneously, who the hell is supposed to handle it? The surrounding areas have their hands full, so assisting other departments isn't going to happen and the streets surrounding the takeovers were blocked, to prevent police intervention.
