I've had them in the past, which is why I schedule them on a Saturday to recover before work Monday. But now it's Monday so it isn't worth it for me anymore if I'm getting older and prone to longer side effects. This one was shingles. Thankfully the second shot so I'm done. I'll maybe do a flu shot but that's about it.
I'm not sure I follow your argument here: You already feel the side effects of the vaccines, so how would you feel if you got sick without the vaccine?

My ex-boss reacts so bad to covid shots because he vomits. I'd be out for two days but be fine. Now it's like if I feel like I have covid after a shot what's the point LOL.
Vomiting is better than die or be put in a ventilator with serious damage, just saying.

My understanding is that shingles in an elderly person can be quite severe and last for some time. My doctor does recommend the shingles shot but I've not yet gotten it. Now you've got me more afraid to get the shot!

It's quite awful from what I've read, and I got the both the two doses with the best vaccine as recommended by @TLS Guy. The older name in Sweden for shingles is literally "fire from Hell".

Pick your poison.

Wait, is there more than one shingles vaccine?

If I'm into Monday and missing work well than no it's not very appealing to get the shot. However, it's the second shingles shot, so I'm done thank goodness.

In December or January I believe I had four shots at once which was crazy. Maybe flu, covid, shingles, and hep a/b. Somewhere in there was a tetanus I believe. Aside from the obvious LOL I'm thinking one at a time so I can determine which is causing the side effect. My shoulders were so sore it was ridiculous.

Yep looked it up. Covid, hep, flu, and whatever pneumo-conj is. Surprised I'm not dead after that many LOL.

Maybe a Thursday after work so you may only miss Friday. ;)
Intensive care is not fun, or beyond. :D

Thursday PM then 3 days to recover. :D

Got two shots, no worse than Covid vaccine.
Don't like the alternative. Not a good gambler with my money. :D Even if free.

A quick search said the Novavax shot had less symptoms regarding covid. Then Pfizer. Otherwise for vax shots it's saying put ice on the shot area shortly after. Though with shingles it created fatigue and pain running down my back.
