If that is true then we need a regulation that all electronic components have to be built with auto grade components at least, or we will really pollute the world. If what you say is true then it needs to change fast and if necessary by force of law. Most of the equipment in my systems are a lot older than 10 years.

When it comes to complex digital components, the best right now is 5YR warranty (like Yamaha, Marantz, Bryston). Many offer 1-3YR.
When it comes to just analog amps, the best right now is 20YR (Bryston) and 7YR (ATI). Many amp companies offer 1YR, 2YR, or 3YR.
For electronics INSIDE speakers and subs, they usually offer 1-3 YR warranty.
It has been THIS WAY for the past 50 years.
NOTHING has changed in terms of warranty period.
I’ve seen amps inside $5K subwoofers that fail within 3 MONTHS.
