Trump's deep obsession: Winning the Nobel Peace Prize

>>>What they're saying: Critics of Trump's foreign policy say he doesn't deserve a Nobel because it's not clear he'll achieve lasting peace in the Middle East or between Ukraine and Russia.

  • Trump's apparent embrace of Russia at the expense of Ukraine and NATO also could weigh heavily on a Norwegian jury.
  • Trump "has said if Obama got one early in his term, he should too," said John Bolton, who was national security adviser during Trump's first term and now is a critic of the president.
  • "I would turn it around. They should be treated equally — neither of them deserve it."<<<
Nobel should create another category just for him...... ;)

.... Trump's signature isn't worth the cost of the ink. He's as trustworthy as Putin.
Maybe it is worth it on a wipe, a back side wipe. ;) :D
Do felt tips have ink in them or some other liquid that may be called ink?

Trump and Vance acting like non-diplomatic fools, I get that, my question for all here .......... how would you propose the Ukraine - Russia situation be handled ?

I for one agree with some of Trumps reasoning yet his methodology of implementing it is deplorable.

Think you nailed it on the head. It isn't his reasoning. It's him. Maaaaaybe one day Republicans will understand your behavior can dictate future outcomes. In the end I wouldn't be surprised if Trump's goal was to get out altogether. Well I guess the TV meeting was one way to achieve those ends. At this point I'd say if Ukraine can get by w/o US support than so be it. The bad taste in my mouth and all.

Also helps to articulate, which Trump does about as well as sticking your lips on a frozen pipe. It was Shapiro who made the comment he doesn't communicate or articulate well. So when Trump angrily says you're starting WW3, might help to know some details why. He doesn't, so it becomes meaningless.

Also if Putin now has enough Ukraine territory to equate to roughly 40% of the mineral resources, there's not really that much left to go around. I heard 50% as an amount Trump was seeking. $500 billion maybe? I dunno. Seems if the US wants to recoup what we lost it would be an extended number of years since Ukraine is already depleted. I don't see Trump wanting to do guaranteed protections, so how in the world Zelensky will agree to that is beyond me. Seems Trump isn't gonna go in that direction since Putin will never agree to that. I assume his goal is to keep invading LOL.

Firstly, you don't give away anything beforehand.
P is not trustworthy, so you need an ironclad and powerful guarantee for security.
Nothing is off the table.

In contrast to the U.S. stock market, which is dropping quickly, European stocks are taking off:

>>>Europeans would need to ramp up military spending quickly, a notion that has set off a market rally, led by defense stocks. . . . European defense stocks soared on Monday after the region’s leaders vowed to take on “the heavy lifting” of defending Ukraine from Russia. The rally comes as the three-year-old war appears set to move into a new stage after an Oval Office blowup on Friday put President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine on the outs with President Trump.<<<

Having a really f'ing old real estate developer as president might not be so bad if he was willing to take advice from people who actually know what the [bleep] they're doing.

Don't hate the rich at all, after all they have lots of money. But it seems they don't pay enough taxes. And now, another huge tax cut in the offering?
Hard to go after people who don't have enough to get them by. We toil to make the rich richer. Just wonderful.

Unless someone knows how much they actually pay and on what, it's a matter of looking at the tax code to make changes. If you made more being employed by someone and your return showed that you owe the same as you do now, would you pay more out of the kindness of your heart? I doubt it. You worked for it, you should keep as much of it as possible.

That covers employment tax/FICA, what if you saved your butt off in protected accounts, to prevent being over-taxed in the future, collected various items and used them to add value AND pay capital gains tax, rather than at the rate from being employed? The tax code is said to be full of loopholes- people who don't have a lot say it, members of Congress harp on that constantly but do you really think ANY of those bastards pass on them in order to be able to say they think it's wrong to use the tax code to their advantage (especially Pelosi, whose husband has a hedge fund)?

Boo hoo- we toil....blah, blah, blah. What do most people do to make them richer? If someone works for a corporation, they make the investors richer if it performs well.

BTW, it's 'wealthier'- rich is paltry.

I would not complain if tax laws changed in a fair way but that is subjective, what is fair.
Close all the loopholes out there the wealthy has been championing over the years.
