There's no doubt that deporting 12 million people in 2 years would be a massive undertaking.
Using military planes is not cheap:
>>>The cost of flying C-17 military cargo planes is high, costing roughly $28,500 per hour of flight time,
according to Reuters. The flights — averaging between 10 and 13 hours — take twice as long as chartered removal flights.
The flights with 80 people can cost around $3,918.75 per person to Guatemala from El Paso, according to an analysis by the El Paso Times using flight tracking software data.<<<
The Trump administration has carried out 10 deportations on military planes. The flights cost more and move fewer, an El Paso Times analysis found.

Using military planes to deport 12 million people would be roughly $48 billion just for the flights. Each C-17 flight carries 80 people, which means 150,000 flights would be required. According to online information, the Air Force has 223 C-17s. If every single C-17 were used to fly people out of the country, each C-17 would need to make 763 flights. If each C-17 makes one flight per day, the entire military C-17 fleet would be used for over 2 years to deport 12 million people.
This is just for the aircraft flight. The logistics of finding and processing 12 million people would require significant additional resources.
I'm not arguing that private contractors should be used. But, it does seem unrealistic to think 12 million people can be deported in 2 years.
