I don’t necessarily agree with everything JD stated but there are some points to be made. For me, the EU and Biden administration slow walked arms to Ukraine dragging this out to bleed Russia in another proxy war. I think these strategies need to end and have never been productive in the long run. Russia is a nuclear superpower, it would take EU or US direct involvement to end the war but possibly at the expense of a nuclear war. This was botched from the start and probably should have been fought when Russia invaded Crimea.

Also yes Russia started the war but the EU used Ukraine and baited Russia into it. In the long run Russia lost as Sweden and Denmark are now NATO. A direct conflict with Russia is in nobody’s best interests and America is broke, we can’t continue to fund endless wars. It’s time to change policies around the world and the EU needs to stand on their own and yes it’s our fault for enabling them but it appears that chapter is closing.

Why would we do that? They aren’t a NATO member. The Budapest Agreement does not obligate any signing Nation to provide any military support unless another signing Nation uses nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

We don’t owe Ukraine a penny. The increase in support over the last year from the West hasn’t changed the battle lines by any measurable amount, all it has done is killed people on both sides faster.

As I understand it, simple assault is a misdemeanor in DC. His J6 conviction is still on his record, however, because Trump commuted his sentence rather than issuing him a pardon. It's Ukrainians that are doing the fighting and dying defending their home country against a brutal agressor, not US soldiers. Any equitable settlement should involve total Russian withdrawal from all Ukrainian territory.

It’s been trench warfare for 2 years with the added bonus of death from above via drones. Both sides have added limited chemical warfare to the mix of atrocities. I don’t think there’s any amount of weapons we could give Ukraine to make a difference to the outcome at this point. Short of direct intervention, US vs Russia which is complete lunacy, this war needs to end. War is terrible and for the most part there are no winners. That’s how this one goes down in the history books.

As far as Trell, he’s more than welcome to volunteer to go to front anytime he wants, or does he just want to volunteer for other people to die?

This ends now, we question everything, it’s all in the table. Attempting to silence criticism in this way is a form of control, you are free to voice your opinion backed by rational debate but you don’t get to attempt to silence debate by suggesting there’s only one alternative and that alternative is Putin’s disciple in this case.

I support Ukraine, I have Ukrainian wife ... but it is still IMHO allowed to question what is happening there. From what I hear, nothing changed in terms of corruption, I heard millions of $ going to support Ukraine has ended into corrupt hands. Maybe not the governments faults, but crazy that there are ruthless people baking their own cake while their fellow citizens are dying in a ruthless war......

Still, Zelenskyy refutes this fact, while it is obvious to people in Ukraine that money goes to corrupt hands!

My ex worked as a logistics and quality manager within an organisation in Kyiv, which purpose is to help people there. She can´t stand it anymore and quit; because what happens is crazy and there is not that sharp focus that she hoped for .... to really help people..
