The GOP needs to yank their heads out of their asses before it becomes necessary to consider the possibility of having 'President Vance'.

Some Sumatra coffee beans are Arabica, too. I haven't seen prices increase for this type.
Long time Sumatra drinker here, we prefer the Mandheling and procure it from coffeebeandirect.com and Copper Moon coffee. Prices are at a dollar an ounce with 20% sales running about once a qtr.

So far not really seeing increases from the bigger roasters, yet. . Those little in town roasters around me are charging $28.00 for a 1/2 lb, all I can think its, a lack of supply, hence the higher prices.

To me, finding a few roasters than can meet your price for whole bean along with the "coffee" you like and then they can get it to you quick after roasting is key to me. .

I’m not too picky on my coffee so long as it isn’t one of the basics like Folgers. Recently found Whole Foods branded coffee for less than anything on the shelf at Walmart, blew my mind

I buy mine at Aldi and if they don't have it, I sub Guatamalan or Columbian at that store- if I literally can't go to Aldi, I go to Kroger stores and buy their brands, worst case being Charbucks. The last time for the latter, it was OK. Not as good as what Aldi has, though. What's really the difference if it's labeled as 'Sumatra', but not Mandheling? When I see the latter, it's usually medium-dark roast and the Barissimo Fair Trade Single Origin Sumatra I buy is dark roast.

I just started the first cup of Barissimo after the Charbucks- it's not even a fair contest.

I remember my parents, neighbors and family members drinking coffee with brown foam on it. I tried some- hated it.

Besides the taste that we love it is one of the lowest acidic coffee's out there. I've even convinced the owner of our local diner to offer it.

Isn't Columbia still the best coffee? Not sure I like the Arabica stuff that seems like it's everywhere.

About coffee -
There are over a hundred species of coffee, but the four main ones produced commercially are Arabica (Coffea arabica), Robusta (Coffea canephora), Liberica, and Excelsa. Arabica is the most popular, making up about 60% of global coffee production, while Robusta is known for its higher caffeine content and stronger flavor. (Wikipedia).

The Sumatra I drink shows that it's Arabica and I don't consider it bitter- the Charbucks is. As I posted, Columbian is one of my backups- the first time I had Guatamalan, it was stronger than I expected, but it was almost like drinking a really good, dark beer. None of the "I can still taste the water" crap.

I was really asking for an opinion.

I was in Prescott, AZ when I found out about Sumatran coffee- my friends had their beer & wine and I don't drink, so I asked the bartender about the coffee- I was hooked, immediately.
