RSL 10E with a 12S?

I just ordered the RSL 10E to go dual with my 12S which is an insane sub. Now I always thought it was a no-no to mix different size subs but RSL recommended this combo it. I'm excited to go dual though. What do you think?

Personally, I wouldn’t do it. Curious though, why RSL recommended this for you.

They said they will work well together because they are both RSL and tuned the same or similarly. The guy on the phone had a 12S 10S MarkII and a 10E and it works great. He gave me same ideas to try but can just run them full frequency. I think its gonna work just fine after talking to him. By the way RSL customer service is second to none.

12S on the left...2 stacked 10S's on the right.

I use the high pass crossover on the 12S to feed the two 10's at a higher frequency.
This works exceptionally well...the 10E would work fine also.

Alright, that's what I was hoping for. I'm waiting for the 10E and my new 12S amp which died somehow. It was working fine and then not. Right now I have no sub at all. They immediately said we are sending you a new amp. Again customer service from RSL is out of this world. The guy has me so 1 test on the amp and said they are sending me a new one and then a test on the driver but that is fine.
Anyway now it's a waiting game January 3rd both are due to arrive.

They are the best, no doubt.

I do agree, their CS is excellent. Joe is also just a really great guy to deal with.

Running the 10S and 12S isn't ideal. They have different port tuning frequencies. You generally do not want to mix ported subs when the port tuning frequencies are different, because you can get phase conflicts at band of the higher tuned sub, and you can also hit bottlenecks on the system below the port tune of the higher tuned sub.
