The only one that I am aware that is brand name is Dac Magic 200 by Cambridge at this price range.
There are tons of Topings and SMSL for around 200 to 500 and I am not able to tell how they even differ or why so many from one brand survive in that same price range.
For example SMSL DO 200 Seems to be similar to SMSL DO 100 etc.
I have/had multiple CA, Chord, Oppo,Topping, Fiio, and SMLS dacs, nothing beats SMS's or Topping's based on value. CA's are way overpriced imo because they typically use supar DAC ICs whereas the others tend to use AKM, Cirrus Logic/Wolfson, or ESS's top ICs. Implementation that people rave on forums are overrated, if a company use the lower end DAC ICs, what's the chance that they would do good on implementation, I am stating this to preamp the forthcoming posts about implementation, that are well know design science, no secrets there, so imo just go with products that used the best available ICs, examples: ES9038, 9039Pro, AK4499EX, CS4302P etc.
Those DACmagic ones are quite good but reminded me of the likes of Bose, Bluesound kind of overhyped, overrated poplular products, much better than the Dragonfly usb dacs that are so ridiculously overpriced yet so successful to get people to fall for them nonetheless.
