highfigh Seriously, I have no life. Feb 18, 2024 #28 Skye ezer said: I saw a post somewhere about placing something in winter conditions, and it started growing fur. I don't know how true it is. We had stray cats in my neighborhood and every Winter, the fur would grow thicker and every year, at least one of them looked like Bill Murray's comb-over in 'Kingpin', as the thicker fur would be shed, but it wouldn't be released unless it was caught on something or if someone grabbed it to help. We had a ridiculously hot stretch and a Calico shed most of its fur to the point of only having a bit of fuzz on its back. That was the first time I saw that its skin was the same colors and in the same pattern as the fur.

This is Dude#1. 1986 to 2004. He only had one hind leg for half his life. Cancer . We had to have it amputated. But he got along fine with only 3 legs and had no issues with stairs until the last 6 months.
