I don't know if anyone has noticed, but there has been a dramatic price drop in the JBL HDI-3800 speakers. The price has come down from $5,000 to $2.750.00. This is probably one of the best speaker bargains out there.

Yes, I had purchased them for $5.000/pair on March 15. There was a price dropa few days after I made the purchase and Crutchfield credited me back $825.00. Looks like I got a hell of a big bargain.

No worries, if suspect that they will start doing heavy discounts at the end of the product life, so it wouldn't be far fetched to happen.

I spent a good hour listening to the HDI-3600 a couple of years ago and it's still one of my favorite speakers. Not quite as good as the Salks, but an excellent speaker in that price range.

I've had a pair for the last 6 months and find them to be excellent. The more I listen to them, the more I love them. If you check, Audioholics rate them 5 stars.

Crutchfield has them at 1925 each marked down from 2750 each. Have seen the same price on other sites so it must be a JBL authorized sale.

I finally got to listen to them at bestbuy. They sound good. Maybe something was wired incorrectly there. Their setup kept cutting out . If I turned it too high. Unfortunately. But they did sound good. Slightly better than the klipsch I own. Lol

I saw them at Best But too but they were running another pair in the room so didn’t get to hear them. Have always wanted a pair of JBLs. They were THE brand when I first got into hifi equipment. Love the look of the 100s With the white paper woofer. Maybe someday.

I only have had BB for a while as the closest (and not that close) so I just don't bother. Rather go internet/home delivery with a good return policy. Much better way for determining how they'll sound in your room....

I will buy a few pairs and go back for the ones I enjoy the most. Then I will get the open box price, unless I grab the ones I like last
