Do I need an amplifier?

Thoughts on the KEF R3 Meta stand mount speakers?

I should mention room size...30ft wide x 12ft deep (speakers will be aimed towards the couch on the 12ft dimension) open concept with 18ft vaulted ceiling. I was considering the Dynaudio LS50 Meta and Evoke 20 as well, but think they may be a little inadequate for such a large area, no? Also, I will need to place the speakers very close to the wall. Preferably no more than a port's diameter.

My "room":

The new speakers would be placed on either side of the fireplace hearth, which puts the spacing at about only 6ft, unfortunately (listening position will be 10ft away from the speaker cabinet face). Thus, I'm assuming I will need a speaker with wider dispersion in addition to a speaker that will perform well 4" to 5" off the wall.

I would like to buy them from a local dealer (Richmond, VA), but it's a bit of a drive. Not seeing a whole lot of online dealers. World Wide Audio is one of the few. I'm not dead set on the Dyanaudios, but they seem like a decent sub-$1,000 speaker based on the reviews I have read.

Thanks for the recommendations. I think I'd like something that blends in more with my existing receiver, such as the NAD C298 or Anthem MCA 225. Thoughts on either of these amps?

Hypex Nilai 500 also seems like an attractive option...

And this one from PA Audio:

They’re all good choices, I personally don’t listen loud enough to require a power amplifier. They can improve sound quality for sure people say if your amp is struggling.
