The never ending rabbit hole....What Avr would you recommend for my setup? Marantz, Denon, Sony, Anthem, Yamaha, Integra, Emotiva or??????

Yeah, people who make a decision based on the actual sound THEY hear AND THEY LIKE are horrible and should only go by what a manufacturer and spec sheet reads. If you're going to be a tool to people that don't have your views maybe you shouldn't reply to a post. I am sure I and the other guy you are being a tool to as well cant hear, hell don't even know why they make different receivers because they all sound the same just different companies but no noticeable difference in sound...
Look, there's nothing particularly wrong if you arrive at a conclusion that works for you (or what you "hear"). Just won't get a lot of traction here with the hand waving kind of audio experience. If you like placebo all I can say is go for it, just don't try to convince me that it's such a difference as you think. Kinda like food taste preferences...there's no particular standard. What we'd like to see are more scientific/repeatable type comparisons....or with controls on your own that might make them believable. It's just much more marketing on your side unfortunately, takes a while to realize reality sometimes.

Curious, you don't ascribe to the cable nonsense, do you? Don't think I've seen that mentioned but many claiming experiences like yours assign them to cables as well....

Pointless conversation and a waste of time with you. Have a great time bashing people as I have seen you do to not only me but another just in this thread. Thanks for your response but I would appreciate it if you would go find another one to jump in and leave this one alone.

I just think you're in the wrong forum, plenty of others that will snuggle noses up your rump.

digital cables absolutely not, analog the gauge and quality of the conductor can make some difference but anything over about $50 to me is a waste of money if your buying it for the sound. Comparing a cable is nothing like comparing an amplifier to another amplifier, a pre-amp to another pre-amp, an avr to another avr. But like I said your a tool and make tool comments about everything so carry on troll go find another thread.

I'd consider you more the tool around here. At least you don't ascribe to cable nonsense...well, maybe if you think analog cables have such properties vs digital cables (or hell, vice versa)

I also don't ascribe to your tool responses

As mentioned in my post I have a 2 channel listening room, I also said that I have a/b tested hundreds of combinations meaning that Amplifiers, Recievers, and Avrs have a direct impact of the sound in the same exact speakers. Yes testing an AVR is harder than a 2 channel setup but the concept is the same even in 2 channels. As far as the actual A/B testing of the avrs I ran the test as I wired the speakers to both of the avrs directly listening to one powering if off and listening to the other with the same source (Apple TV on an hdmi splitter). I am not here to get into a pissing match I was just looking for some input on avr’s. We for sure have a difference of opinion that an amplifier/reciever/AVR doesn’t have a significant difference in sound with the same speakers and it’s not “audio nervousa”. And I don’t mind the edits my friend
From your OP on, I felt you had been subjected to information overload and it has caused what amounts to a lot of OCD.

"A/B tested "hundreds of combinations?" Seriously? Is that just an exaggeration to make a point, along the lines of claims such as: "I have said it a million times?" I mean, by that standard, who are you going to find anywhere that has that much experience comparatively in which to ask such questions on what equipment to buy? To the contrary, I find equipment I like rather easily and keep it for decades, usually until it dies.

I have 9 pairs of speakers, 7 of which are favorites, and none of those that are appreciably removed from their sonic signatures, regardless of amp type and I have some pretty far out stuff covering most of the spectrum from: Class A, valve, Class D, vintage, DIY, hybrid etc. . .

I don't understand with all of that testing and comparing (why for starters), and then how could you have not landed on a winning combination by now? The only explanation is that you have instead, tried too much, and need a personal master reset and to walk away from any system for awhile and let your ears dry out a little.

What all you described in the first few posts on this thread does not sound the least bit enjoyable, productive or solvable to me. It's as if you are only interested in the newness aspect of perpetual purchases and shopping, instead of actually ever finding sonic satisfaction, long term.
