So i just received my rz 50 today.. ran the dirac (pretty cool) but after calibrations it would not send filter to the receiver. some sort of error code. tried many many times.. might call dirac or crutchfield tomorrow.

Anyways... I decided until then i will just run onkyo proprietary setup... WOW absolutely awful awful bad! I came from a denon 2310.. like 11 years old so was expecting much much better, but my old audessey setup from a 11 year old avr will blow this out of the water. Anyways... ill make some calls.. hopefully get dirac to send to avr... but even then (and it might sound great afterwards) not sure if i like the onkyo layout even if i do get bugs worked out. seems old school for a 2 yr old avr. I wanted the denon 3800 in the first place, but didnt want to pay extra for dirac.. seems like i should of went with my gut. My denon has been bulletproof for 11 yrs after burning up Yamahas and Sony junk over the years. Not saying this onkyo is junk, might sound great after bugs are fixed, however maybe stick with what i know. Love to hear some thoughts on owners that have had both. Thanks

Have you tried using hard wired Ethernet?

The latest version of the Dirac PC software have had these issues - make sure you are using version 3.4.4 of the software.

Later versions have had issues with a number of different AVR's...

I'll be following this thread as the RZ50 has had my interest since I'm in search for a new AVR to replace my old Sony DA3100ES.
