Estate Sale Amps

I subscribe to an estate sale site, and they have two amps that look brand new that I have bid on. Granted I will probably not use them and end up having them serviced and sell if the price is right.

Amp#1
Classe CA-100 Stereo Power Amplifier
$190.00 current bid
Looks brand new, missing power cord, but has original box and looks like just taken out of it w/manual.

Sunfire Grand Cinema
Current Bid $70.00
Pretty much new in box w/manual

Normally I wouldn't even think about doing this but the prices seem low and 1 hour left in auction. We shall see!

I would want to make sure it works. Plenty of gear that looks new has failed and returned to the box.

well it's been over an hour, how did you make out ?

I know the Sunfire Amp (Bob Carver) gets a fair amount of praise in the Martin Logan group

Won the Bob Carver for $100, if it doesn't work, not a huge loss, lost out on the Classe.

It cost me $125 total auction fees. It looks brand new, but if it doesn work, I can probably part it out and at least break even.

if you decide to sell it go over on the Martin Logan Owners forum with it, as I stated previous, there is a definite following of the Sunfire stuff there.
