Yep that will be the folks from PA, NY, and NJ as they brought their driving tactics with them .

Plenty of lousy drivers everywhere, down here it's exacerbated by age and cell phones. Coming back from shooting clays today @ Sarasota some old gal was on her cell phone, left lane going 5 under the speed limit.

Gas was 4.19 this morning and coming back to AMI this afternoon, 4.39, five bucks by next week ?

I'm here in Western NY visiting my mother, gas jumped 70 cents in 2 days last week. I'm driving back to FL Friday and it's the same pretty much up and down the east Coast.

We aren't nearly strict enough when it comes to driver's licenses. People can get one way to easily.

I think about those that may travel 100+ miles a day to and from work. 25mpg at $4.00 a gallon is $20.00 a day X's 5 days is $100.00/week, for example. Perhaps they are not making a whole lot in hourly wages with a family. We can complete our pipeline as far as I am concerned and be independent from energy, as a whole. Since OPEC is not willing to budge, why depend on others for oil source. Saudi's are out to get us too, with no humanitarian help to boot, in the world.

Let us not forget oil is a world commodity traded on the commodity markets so price is tied to the overall markets. And the US oil companies ship the oil to anyone and anywhere who will pay the price. Right now US companies are pumping more oil than at anytime before.
Don't think the US government can compel those companies to keep all that production inside the US.

I lied about diesel. It was $4.79 when I filled up. First leg stopped at $100. Second stopped just short of $40. My tank wasn't empty when I started filling up.

Good thing I only fill up once a month or so.

That's not a lie, your mind just doesn't remember correctly. Full of other things to remember and the price was of no importance.

It's difficult critiquing Tucker but I'll try.

He's certainly correct about the cost of gas and goods, but then he starts going into the Ukraine/Russia and Trudeau propaganda. Like let's just ignore the war. Who cares. Sanctioning Russian gas imports could be a good thing but he never delves into it. Why is it a bad thing? Doesn't go there either. Trudeau applying law to the convoy protesters because it's costing the economy $500 million per day? Doesnt go there. You arm the lesser of two evils in a war. Tucker would never mention that.

That is something that really pisses me off, I remember going to work one morning and I came to a traffic light, stopped and looked over was a women, I say early 40's, with the mirror in the visor down, putting on makup while a cigarette was hanging out of her mouth and it appeared she was taking via hands free on her phone. Funniest dam thing I've ever seen. Cig moved up and down , while she is glued to the mirror and we all drove off and there she sat.

I've found that actual age doesn't really translate to being old

Go bless ya man. I'm 69, don't feel 69, and I play golf with a old guy 80 that is sneaky strong and one heck of a golfer. He will grab a few clubs and go walk while his playing partner drives the cart and at times he will jog to his ball. Unreal, but that proves a lot. If your body and mind are strong age is just a number. But when your mind is still strong and your body is getting weak, due to some medical issue, respect the body. But age does gets us all in the end.

I can';t believe states would not want to test drivers over, say 70, heck I'm 69 and I have NO problem taking a drivers test with a officer next to me, like we did when we first got our license. Some of these older people, God bless em, as we all will be there one day and the younger crowd will be saying the same thing, but its true. Sooner or later a person should not drive based on their mental state, reflexes, and comprehension of whats taking place around them. Its sad, but its reality.

I see people who are of all ages, crapping the bed when they drive. At some point, the cell phones need to be shut down by the running car, only to work in case of emergency. Too many people with tunnel vision, too. No clue about yielding right of way (I called the PD about that yesterday because a box truck driver merged into my lane before he was even past me and if I hadn't slowed, the metal guard on the rear would have hit my van- he was in a 'Right Turn Only' turnoff lane and didn't, so he had to move into the right lane because if he had gone straight, he would have drilled parked cars. He was also speeding and changing lanes without his signal. That wasn't a "Get off my lawn!" call, the guy is a menace.

I think some of it is due to drivers thinking that they should be allowed to do what they do, others just don't give a rat's ass. I honk at people who are driving like they're in a demo derby and they look at me like I'm the bad guy. People with their cell phone slapped against their left ear and they hold it with their hand as if it was a horse's blinder and it works very well to block their view of the oncoming cars.

I have this fantasy....steady on, bare with me.
I go out and by a cheap old pickup with Chrome Metal front bumpers.
Then I drive around and watch for people who park on the side of a busy street and fling their doors out without looking (usually Starbucks patrons). If there arms are not holding the doors, I would gladly not swerve and take the doors right off.
Also, to the lane drifters because they are distracted by their phone, same thing. I would keep driving straight and let them swerve right into me and watch them ruin their paint job.
When I get home, I grab a can of Krylon and repair the damage to my truck and grab a PBR.
It's just a fantasy....
