Today's episode of "This is so dumb I wouldn't have thought it was possible" is brought to you courtesy of Milo Yiannopoulos, who is unvaccinated, yet blames his own COVID and long COVID on the people who were vaccinated.

Let that sink in. On second thought, don't. He appears to be infected with a super-strong, souped-up form of stupidity.

Seriously, I have no life.
  • You can golf 365 days a year
  • Over 1000 miles of great beaches
  • tropical to sub-tropical weather
  • Some of the best fishing in the world
  • Unique flora and fauna unseen anywhere else in the US
  • Until recently, a reasonable cost of living
  • Many spring fed, crystal clear rivers (I live near one)
  • Championship sports teams
  • Theme parks
  • Florida is the gateway to the Caribbean
Forgot hurricanes and more hurricanes, maybe tornadoes too. And more hurricanes.

But we don't have the deep snow, or crazy ice, or bitter cold and most of the hurricanes just go somewhere else, but most all states get tornadoes and at least its not like Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa, and South Dakota for those twirly things. But it must not matter to all the people moving south from the north each and every day., Speaking of storms I remember Sandy doing some crazy stuff in NY and NY. Don't worry with "global warming" all the coastal states and inland's will get a few extra storms in the years to come., I guess these Northern folk that are leaving the North can handle the weather in the south in lieu for a lower cost of living. I hope they like humidity. But humidity over cold, snow and ice, I think I'll take the humidity.

The folks heading south leave a lot of things behind. Hurricanes happen for sure but from what I have gathered they don't hit the same target that often. Up North, its annual with degrees of intensity (how much snow or now long the temperature is under 25 F)...It's dangerous to shovel snow when you are over 60, one back strain and you are helpless for at least 3 weeks.. The annual freezing/thawing cycle does much expensive damage to property that has to addressed from time to time. Driveways that have to be dug up and repaved. House foundations that shift if the foundations are not properly laid, which happens often. This time of year, we have potholed streets that can take out your tires, shock absorbers, and occasionally, whole cars...Having to have two wardrobes, heavy coats, etc, the list is endless....
I have not even mentioned the tax load from the People's Republics of the Northeast...

Am saving up for a shack in Key West someday....When I eventually get hit by a hurricane I will use my Vienna Acoustic Mozarts as a life raft. Real quality cabinets they are....

Well the property down there is expensive since, well there is hardly,. well none really left. We only go down there about once every 5 years as it takes a while from my area, really crowed with " tourist" . Awesome fishing though. We pull our boats along with the kayaks on top and my son and law pulls his 32 ft camper .

I'm visiting my mom in rural Western PA and for all intents and purposes everyone thinks it's over here as well. I've never thought of myself as being a person who stands out much in a crowd, but that all changes when you go to a Walmart out here and you're the only one wearing a mask and not driving a pickup truck.

That sounds fun. Agree on the property, that's why a shack will do. I have vacationed down there a few times, usually in August, when it's cheapest. Since I speak Spanish, I get great ideas from some of the locals on how to live on a budget. Man is it hot in August.
To me, there are few greater experiences than to drive down US Highway 1 on a summer afternoon into the sunset.
Really makes you feel that you are running away from the normal chaos of the world....

And if you drove a truck at the same time, you would really stand out, maybe become curiosity and picture all over the social media. :D
