Oh wow, yeah everyone has seen him if they don't know his name. He was in and I know this because I just watched it again the other day, he was in Beverly Hills cop 2.

Working since he was a kid, he was a very skilled actor and one that everybody recognized from one thing or another. Nice long run. R.I.P.

Just watched Dune 1984 4K. Always thought he was an odd choice for Dr. Yue, but he did it well. Quantum Leap lol, we were talking about that show not to long ago. RIP Dean.

HE played the gunsmith in Beverly Hills Cop II. Lots of cameos in 60s, 70s, 80s TV shows.

One of those actors that you've seen in so many things, possibly without even realizing it, was just reviewing the 200 plus credits for films/tv shows on imdb over 70 years of activity, quite impressive. RIP.

Right, I checked my own movie collection, Stockwell was in 2 Columbo episodes, one as a murder victim and one he was accused/framed of being a murderer! And another show called "Ellery Queen" in which he is a murderer! Also "Tucker: The Man and His Dream" he played Howard Hughes. And Mannix, Mission:Impossible, Cannon, the list goes on...

I read an article on him that stated that he was pretty much out of work as an actor, mostly selling real estate to earn a living, when he was cast in Dune. Pretty much went uphill from there, even though he was close to 50.
