Amazon Basics 2-Male Audio Stereo Subwoofer Cable - 8 Feet using these as interconnectors. Thinking of changing to svs interconnector cables for pre outs to amp.
from my Yamaha rx-a1050 to monolith. I have all svs ultra tower and sorround. was thinking of getting there interconnect wires. What are your thoughts.

Yet you didn't clarify what you mean by needing dual (I assume the 2-rca means dual).

SVS wire IMO is overpriced, the Amazon Basics should be perfectly fine.

You mean from your avr to a stereo external power amp? Or a sub? Can you mention specific make/model of the "Monolith" mentioned? How about an actual product link to the cable you're interested in? Getting a shielded cable will be a relatively easy thing to do from a variety of brands/vendors....

Okay, you mentioned sub cable and Monolith so we thought you meant a Monolith sub. Thanks for clarifying.

Meh on the bi-amping thing, but unless you're having some sort of issues with the current cabling, don't know what you think you'd get by changing them. Are you sure the current ones aren't shielded? What are they particularly?

The answer you are looking for is NO. Or at least, very unlikely. The Amazon cables are shielded and are of decent quality. If you like the look of the SVS cables, I'm sure they are solid quality and will look good, but that doesn't mean they will sound better. Likewise, you could get the Monolith cables from Monoprice, and they will sound identically the same as everything else, but will look solid, and won't be as pricey...

As RG6 cable, it is somewhat stiff. Well suited for longer subwoofer runs, too.
